Aligned Solutions is conducting a retained search in Miami, FL for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and cross-functional leaders to drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and sustain long-term organizational health.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic financial partner to the President & CEO and Board of Directors
- Lead and manage the Investment Committee, including endowment and investment oversight
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements (Head Start or similar preferred)
- Oversee audit processes, risk management frameworks, and internal controls
- Lead cross-functional teams spanning Finance, IT, Operations, and Facilities
- Drive financial strategy while maintaining rigorous operational discipline
- Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the Board, Finance Chair, and Investment Chair
- Manage and develop a large, high-performing finance staff
What We're Looking For
- Proven CFO or senior finance executive experience in a large, complex organization
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership
- CPA license required
- Experience with federal funding compliance (Head Start or similar strongly preferred)
- Background in audit, risk management, internal controls, and investment/endowment oversight
- Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or government-adjacent organizations
- Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and Board-facing experience
- Collaborative, mission-aligned leader with a community-first mindset
