Job Summary
The Sales Operations Manager reports to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our global commercial organization as well as creating and refining current business processes to drive efficiency and quality. This role interfaces with Carterra’s customers as well as every functional group in the company, and these other groups are also your customers.
You will work closely with the CCO on a broad variety of strategic and tactical initiatives, including:
- Manage order entry, order processing, and logistics of shipping Carterra’s instruments to global customers; interface with Manufacturing, Accounting, and Commercial teams on shipment timing and priority, documentation requirements, and delivery coordination
- Manage third-party installation and logistics vendors (white glove uncrating contracts and relationships)
- Manage service contract renewals for the global customer base
- Create and refine coordinated processes that meet the needs of functional leaders in Marketing, Accounting, Commercial, Manufacturing, and Quality, with focus on maximizing efficiency and output
- Resolve escalated customer requests/issues
- Additional strategic and tactical initiatives that support the commercial operation, including but not limited to:
- Territory and expense management
- Sales forecasting
- Sales reporting, metrics, analysis, and commissions
- Salesforce administration and analytics
- Supporting Sales meeting planning and execution
- Product marketing support, e.g. lead tracking, Salesforce metrics
- Additional responsibilities as needed

Education and/or Experience:
- BS/BA degree or 5+ years of business experience in a sales operations role or Sales/Marketing role; any experience in a life science or biotech company will be additive
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio
- 5+ years using Salesforce; Salesforce administrator level skills preferred
- Experience with Tableau and Acumatica preferred
- Demonstrated experience establishing and improving processes related to commercial operations
- Small company experience preferred, including a willingness to engage in both high-impact/high-visibility initiatives as well as administrative tasks
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
