We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to play a key leadership role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. This role will be responsible for:
- Maintaining strong financial control and integrity
- Leading cash, liquidity and funding management
- Ensuring effective commercial governance
- Managing the external audit relationship
- Providing forward‑looking financial insight to support strategic decision‑making
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will be a core member of the Core Leadership Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Executive Financial Leadership
You’ll lead the end‑to‑end finance function, ensuring strong financial governance and high‑quality reporting across the business. This includes:
- Owning management accounts, statutory reporting, audit, tax, treasury and financial controls
- Delivering clear, timely monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital
- Acting as the senior point of contact for auditors, tax advisers, shareholders and regulators, anticipating issues and driving resolution.
Capital Allocation & Shareholder Value
A core part of this role is building investor‑grade financial discipline and supporting long‑term value creation:
- Leading the budget, forecast and long‑term planning cycle, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
- Ensuring plans align with strategy, funding availability and operational capacity
- Shifting the organisation from short‑term operational focus to long‑term sustainability, resilience and value
- Owning cash flow, liquidity and funding strategy, including downside and stress scenarios
- Strengthening commercial capability, including unit economics, cost and margin control, pricing discipline and decision support.
Finance Systems, Data & Controls
You’ll ensure the finance infrastructure is robust, scalable and fit for growth:
- Overseeing finance systems, data architecture and reporting platforms
- Ensuring strong, effective financial controls are embedded in day‑to‑day processes
- Acting as the senior finance interface with Legal, Governance and Internal Control
- Driving continuous improvement, including automation, data quality, process efficiency and knowledge transfer across teams.
Key Relationships
You’ll work closely with:
- Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team
- Board and Shareholders
- External auditors, tax and legal advisers
- Head of Governance / Internal Control (interface role)
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for a senior finance leader who brings both technical strength and commercial judgement:
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a complex, capital‑intensive, regulated or infrastructure‑focused organisation
- Strong commercial and financial judgement, with experience supporting executive and board‑level decision making
- Confident influencing at senior levels, including MDs, Boards and shareholders, ideally within a JV or multi‑entity structure
- Deep technical accounting and reporting expertise, including IFRS and statutory reporting
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent strongly preferred)
- High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters
This role is about helping the organisation transition from set‑up and operational focus to strategic, investor‑grade financial discipline. You’ll build stronger long‑term planning and commercial capability, protect shareholder value, and ensure capital discipline as the asset base scales.
Location & Business Travel: This role is offered on a hybrid basis in the UK and will necessitate travel to our Canary Wharf office in London in line with operational requirements.
