We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial strategy, accounting operations, and risk management functions within a manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a key partner to the President and senior leadership team, supporting strategic planning, operational performance, and long-term growth initiatives. The CFO will also work closely with the Board of Directors and serve in a governance-focused capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary financial advisor to executive leadership and support annual strategic planning and execution
- Act as Secretary to the Board of Directors, including preparing meeting minutes and supporting board resolutions
- Lead the company’s treasury strategy, including banking relationships, credit facilities, cash flow, and liquidity planning
- Oversee internal controls, compliance, and risk management across core financial and operational functions
- Manage external audit relationships and ensure timely completion of annual financial reviews and reporting
- Direct daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, invoicing, cash receipts, and monthly financial close
- Provide financial reporting, analytics, and performance insights to support leadership decision-making
- Oversee credit management policies, customer credit terms, and past-due receivables collections
- Ensure timely vendor payments and proper documentation of purchasing and invoice approvals
- Coordinate with tax service providers to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred)
- 10+ years of accounting, finance, or audit experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Prior manufacturing finance/accounting experience required
- Proven experience working directly with ownership and/or a Board of Directors
