FRACTIONAL CFO for Profitable APAC Fintech (Pre-Series A, bootstrapped to profitability)
We're Representing: A bootstrapped B2B payments fintech in Southeast Asia that achieved profitability in Year 2 and is now at the inflection point: scale with capital or scale profitably.
The Role: Design the financial strategy for a growth decision. You'll model Series A scenarios vs. profitable-scaling scenarios, prepare investor materials if they choose to raise, and coach the founder on capital allocation and international expansion economics.
You'll Own:
- Financial modeling for Series A vs. profitable-growth scenarios
- Investor materials (deck, financial projections, investor narrative)
- Multi-currency accounting and FX strategy across 3 countries
- P&L analysis by market segment and customer cohort
- Board reporting and investor relations
- Capital allocation decisions (reinvestment vs. return to founders)
What We Need:
- 10+ years fintech/payments experience (ideally with cross-border payments)
- Track record at companies that chose to raise Series A or stay private
- Deep expertise in multi-currency accounting and FX risk
- Comfort advising founders on capital strategy (when to raise, when not to)
- Experience with bootstrapped-to-Series A transitions
Fractional Terms:
- SGD $16,000-$20,000/month (2-3 days/week)
- 6-month initial contract with opportunity to extend.
- Equity: 0.25%-0.4%
