We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Group Chief Financial Officer to join a leading private healthcare provider in Asia. This role will play a critical part in driving the group’s financial strategy, supporting sustainable growth, strengthening governance, and ensuring operational and financial excellence across the organization’s network.
About the Role
The successful candidate will combine strong financial leadership with strategic business acumen, proven experience within large-scale enterprises, and the ability to influence at Board level. Beyond financial stewardship, the GCFO will partner closely with executive leadership to optimize performance, support expansion initiatives, and strengthen the organization’s long-term mission of delivering trusted and accessible healthcare.
Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Define and execute the group’s financial strategy in alignment with investor expectations and long-term business objectives.
- Act as a key advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team on financial, operational, and strategic matters.
- Provide financial insights and commercial recommendations to support decision-making and business growth initiatives.
Financial & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the organization’s financial performance, ensuring profitability, strong cash flow management, and adherence to global financial standards.
- Lead all core finance functions including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, audit, and banking relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and optimizing financial controls, reporting frameworks, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics.
- Support operational leadership teams with financial analysis and performance management across the group’s healthcare network.
Governance, Risk & Business Development
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, compliance, and enterprise risk management across the organization.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuations, and assessments relating to mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Support commercial negotiations and provide strategic financial input for major contracts and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, statutory, and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with subsidiary leadership teams to ensure alignment with group financial objectives and governance standards.
- Drive talent development initiatives including succession planning, leadership capability building, and performance management within the finance function.
Stakeholder & Investor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, banking partners, auditors, regulators, and key external stakeholders.
- Support Board reporting and investor communications with clear financial insights and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to the organization’s long-term growth agenda while maintaining financial discipline and organizational integrity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience leading finance functions within large, complex organizations, ideally within healthcare or related industries.
- CA/CPA Certified is a MUST
- Proven success in financial leadership, strategic planning, and operational finance management at group level.
- Strong experience in Board-level engagement, investor management, and driving business transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to M&A, capital management, and regional/multi-country operations would be highly advantageous
