Role Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) leadership role reporting to the CEO/GM, responsible for the overall financial leadership of Hollyburn Country Club, a Member-owned, not-for-profit organization operating a complex, multi-revenue service environment.
This role is well-suited to a senior, hands-on finance leader with 10+ years of progressive experience, representing a logical next step for a strong Controller or Director of Finance ready to move into a CFO position.
The CFO leads financial stewardship, reporting, planning, and governance, and acts as a strategic partner to the CEO/GM, Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and Finance Committee. Operating in a lean environment, this is a hands-on role that retains core controllership responsibilities while elevating financial discipline, reporting clarity, and decision support across the Club.
The CFO will also be expected to assess opportunities to modernize the finance function, including the thoughtful use of AI, automation, reporting tools, and improved systems to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance decision support across the Club.
In the first 12–18 months, success in this role will look like:
- Timely, accurate, and trusted monthly financial reporting
- Improved financial visibility and decision support for department leaders
- Clear and credible financial communication with the Board and Finance Committee
Hollyburn is targeting an August 2026 start date for the successful candidate, with some flexibility depending on the candidate’s availability and transition requirements.
