Blue Method Solutions is a growing regulatory compliance and advisory consulting firm supporting companies operating in the Canadian energy industry. Our work includes operational regulatory compliance, licence eligibility, acquisitions and divestitures, environmental compliance, liability reviews, operational reviews, and strategic advisory services.
As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to help build and support the systems, processes, and infrastructure that allow our team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, coordinating multiple priorities, and helping a small business operate efficiently.
This is not a highly supervised position. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working independently, exercising judgment, identifying opportunities for improvement, and taking ownership of their work. The successful candidate will become a key part of the Blue Method team and will play an important role in helping shape how the business operates as it grows.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and track client projects, deliverables, deadlines, and action items.
· Maintain project dashboards, workflow trackers, and business reporting tools.
· Support the development and maintenance of business systems, processes, and procedures.
· Organize and maintain SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and document management systems.
· Assist with client onboarding and project setup.
· Support the preparation, assembly, tracking, and submission of regulatory applications, compliance filings, and client deliverables.
· Coordinate information requests, supporting documentation, and submission packages for regulatory and client projects.
· Prepare proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
· Coordinate meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-up activities.
· Develop and maintain templates, checklists, and internal procedures.
· Assist with invoice preparation, expense tracking, and coordination with the Company's external accountant.
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement practical solutions.
· Support the implementation and use of AI tools to improve productivity and workflows.

Qualifications
· Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
· Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
· Comfortable learning and using AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
· Experience in project coordination, business operations, consulting, professional services, energy, or regulatory environments is considered an asset.

Position Type
This position is structured as an independent contractor relationship. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own computer, internet connection, and home office workspace. Compensation will be based on hours worked and invoiced.
The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and capable of operating as an independent contractor.
Expected Commitment
15-25 hours per week with a flexible work schedule and the potential for increased hours as the business continues to grow. This role offers a high degree of scheduling flexibility; however, candidates should be available during normal business hours for occasional meetings, team collaboration, and client support activities.
