Lead Financial Strategy Across One of Asia's Most Dynamic Agrochemical Businesses
We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer - CU Asia to provide strategic financial leadership across our Crop Protection business in Asia.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence business performance across multiple countries, partner closely with regional and global leadership teams, and drive sustainable growth in a highly regulated, manufacturing-led environment.
As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will lead the finance agenda across India, Thailand, Korea, and Japan, balancing growth, profitability, cash generation, governance, and operational excellence while ensuring strong alignment with global finance and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with regional business leaders to drive profitable growth across product portfolios, crop segments, and geographies.
- Influence commercial decisions related to pricing, channel profitability, credit strategy, and market expansion.
- Evaluate business opportunities including new product registrations, in-licensing initiatives, and market entry strategies.
- Support decision-making by balancing growth ambitions with margin and cash objectives.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance
- Lead financial oversight of manufacturing operations, including plant economics, cost structures, productivity, and profitability.
- Drive improvements in capacity utilization, conversion costs, batch efficiencies, and operational performance.
- Provide financial leadership for capital investment planning and governance.
- Strengthen integration between supply chain planning and financial forecasting processes.
Working Capital & Cash Management
- Drive working capital optimization across multiple markets.
- Manage inventory performance in highly seasonal business environments.
- Improve cash conversion cycles through disciplined receivables, inventory, and payables management.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to strengthen cash generation and financial discipline.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax, statutory, accounting, and regulatory requirements across the region.
- Oversee transfer pricing, cross-border taxation, and import/export compliance matters.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and audit readiness.
- Support environmental, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives through effective financial governance.
Performance Management & Business Analytics
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis.
- Develop actionable insights around product, country, channel, and customer profitability.
- Monitor key business performance indicators and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Provide regular business updates and strategic recommendations to regional and global leadership.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance organization, including country finance leaders, plant finance teams, and FP&A professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and commercial acumen.
- Build strong partnerships across regional and global functions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a key contributor to business strategy.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance).
- Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Experience
- Significant experience within agrochemicals, specialty chemicals, process manufacturing, or related industries.
- Proven track record leading large finance teams in complex, multi-country environments.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing finance, supply chain finance, FP&A, and commercial finance.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership teams to drive business transformation and performance.
