The role: Own the profit & loss across every platform. You'll turn data from D2C, Amazon, B2B and ads into one clear view of where we actually make money — by channel and by SKU — and drive the decisions that grow margin. You partner with (not replace) our CA, who handles books, audit and compliance.
What you'll own
- Consolidated + channel-wise P&L (D2C / Amazon / B2B, quick-commerce later) — the single source of profitability truth.
- Unit economics — contribution margin per SKU and per channel after COGS, ads, fees, freight, RTO and returns. Decide what to scale and what to kill.
- MIS & dashboards — daily/weekly/monthly performance across all platforms, in one place for the CEO.
- Pricing, margin & spend ROI — pricing across channels, promo/discount payback, ad efficiency (ACOS/ROAS) in real P&L terms.
- Budgeting, forecasting & scenario planning; business cases for new channels/SKUs.
- Working-capital & inventory analytics (GMROI, inventory turns) — partnering with the CA on cash.
- Investor/lender MIS and the business-performance narrative.
- Pull and integrate data from ERPNext, Shopify, Amazon and ad platforms into one financial model.
You should have
- MBA-Finance (strong institute) — or CA/CMA with heavy FP&A / commercial-finance experience.
- 5–10 years in FP&A / business finance / commercial finance, ideally at a D2C / e-commerce / consumer brand.
- Proven ownership of channel P&Ls and unit economics; fluent in marketplace economics (Amazon fees, ACOS, RTO).
- Excellent modeling/Excel + BI/dashboards; data-driven and decisive.
- A commercial partner, not just a reporter — challenges spend and drives profit.
