Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Digital Infrastructure Platform

Overview
We are representing a fast-growing, investor-backed digital infrastructure platform focused on the development and operation of data centre assets across APAC. Backed by a leading infrastructure investment firm, the business is entering a key phase of expansion and capital deployment.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical leadership role in shaping financial strategy, driving capital markets initiatives, and building a best-in-class finance and FP&A function to support scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and Board
- Define and execute the company's financial strategy to support regional growth and expansion
- Provide strategic insight on capital allocation, financial planning, and enterprise risk
Corporate Finance & Capital Markets
- Lead capital structuring initiatives across equity, debt, and hybrid instruments
- Drive capital raising efforts with institutional investors, private equity, and lenders
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and advisory partners
- Oversee project financing, refinancing, and structured finance across development and operational assets
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Establish and lead a best-in-class FP&A function across the platform
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Develop detailed financial models for investment decisions, capacity planning, and scenario analysis
- Provide actionable insights on business performance, cost optimisation, and margin improvement
- Partner closely with commercial, development, and operations teams to track KPIs (utilisation, revenue ramp, cost efficiency)
Investment & Portfolio Management (Preferred)
- Support evaluation and execution of investments including greenfield and brownfield assets
- Contribute to financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and investment committee materials
- Monitor asset and portfolio performance (IRR, EBITDA, yield, utilisation)
- Support portfolio optimisation and capital recycling strategies
Financial Operations & Governance
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting, tax, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Implement strong internal controls, governance frameworks, and reporting standards
- Ensure transparency and timely reporting to shareholders and stakeholders
Treasury & Risk
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and cash flow forecasting
- Develop and implement hedging strategies (FX, interest rates)
- Establish enterprise-level risk management frameworks
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build and lead a high-performing regional finance and FP&A team
- Act as a key interface with investors, Board members, auditors, and external advisors
- Support corporate development initiatives including M&A and strategic partnerships
Requirements
Experience
- 15+ years of finance experience, with at least 5-8 years in senior leadership roles (CFO / Head of Finance / Deputy CFO)
- Strong background in capital-intensive sectors, such as:
- Data centres / digital infrastructure
- Infrastructure / energy / real assets
- Investor or private equity-backed platforms
- Proven experience in:
- Corporate finance and capital raising
- Capital markets (debt & equity) execution
- FP&A leadership including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Exposure to project finance, structured financing, and capital deployment
- Experience in investment evaluation or portfolio management is preferred
- Exposure to GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), AI infrastructure, or high-performance compute platforms is highly advantageous / preferred
Technical Skills
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Strong expertise in FP&A, business partnering, and performance management
- Deep understanding of infrastructure financing structures and capital markets
- Familiarity with hyperscale leasing, colocation, and emerging AI compute business models (e.g. GPUaaS) is advantageous
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and regulatory environments in Singapore and APAC
Leadership & Attributes
- Strategic, commercially driven, and highly analytical
- Strong ability to translate financial data into business insights
- Effective communicator with Board and investor engagement experience
- Hands-on leader capable of building and scaling finance functions
Education
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
- CPA, CFA or equivalent preferred
- MBA or advanced degree is an advantage
