Our client is a growth oriented, lower middle market, multi-site manufacturing and distribution business HQ in the Houston market.
In support of their investment thesis and in order to support their growth, there is a need for a strategic and hands-on CFO to join and continue building out the finance and accounting platform. This Chief Financial Officer will assume overall leadership responsibility for the company’s finance and accounting function and become a key member of the executive team.
This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced private equity CFO to build and then lead the necessary infrastructure (systems, processes, reporting’s capabilities, team, etc.) that will enable continued growth and success.
Requirements:
- Must reside in Texas or a surrounding state and be willing to travel regularly.
- Given the expected growth trajectory of the Company, the ideal CFO candidate will have extensive experience as CFO or as a senior financial leader within another similar sized branch-based distribution company that has had meaningful growth, where hands-on, operationally focused skills were required to help scale the company.
- The ideal candidate will have had experience in a wholesale distribution business where inventory management was a key part of the model.
- Experience working at a strategic level as a partner to the CEO, Board, operations and other key executives helping shape the direction of the Company.
- Must be a culture carrier within the organization, willing to listen and learn from others early on and empower team members.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, team building, and strategically focused leadership skills that include superior communications, team-based motivational tactics, and creative instincts.
- Experience integrating acquisitions.
