Role Overview
A leading investment management organization overseeing several billion dollars in assets for a global base of ultra‑high‑net‑worth families is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This executive will serve as a strategic and operational leader, driving the firm’s financial infrastructure, client servicing excellence, and cross‑functional initiatives that support a diverse portfolio of private investments and hedge fund allocations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Provide executive oversight of all financial operations, including accounting, administration, audit coordination, reporting, valuation, trade and deal settlement, and treasury/cash management.
- Lead and mentor established accounting and operations teams, working closely with senior operations leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a senior representative to ultra‑high‑net‑worth families and their advisors, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality investor relations experience.
- Support bespoke client needs through specialized analyses related to tax, trust structures, regulatory considerations, and cross‑border planning.
Systems, Data & Process Optimization
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new operational systems, technologies, and process improvements to enhance firmwide efficiency.
- Oversee data analytics and portfolio monitoring frameworks in partnership with senior investment team members.
Special Projects & Firmwide Initiatives
- Lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects that support both firm operations and client objectives.
- Contribute to the evolution of internal controls, reporting frameworks, and operational best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Core Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in asset management, alternative investments, family office, or financial institutions, including 5+years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Deep expertise in accounting, finance, and reporting matters relevant to investment companies and registered investment advisers.
- Hands‑on experience implementing or managing portfolio management and accounting platforms.
- Strong understanding of tax considerations affecting investment entities and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals.
- Broad exposure to multiple asset classes, ideally including private equity, public markets, real estate, fixed income, and fund‑of‑fund structures.
The salary for this position is 350-400k base
