INTEC Energy Solutions is one of the world's leading renewable energy Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) companies, delivering and maintaining utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and high-voltage infrastructure projects across more than 16 countries. From engineering and procurement through construction and long-term asset operations, we provide end-to-end solutions for some of the world's leading renewable energy developers, utilities and investors.
With a rapidly expanding presence across Australia and New Zealand, INTEC is entering an exciting new phase of growth. As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our executive leadership team and investing in the commercial capability required to support the next stage of our evolution.
We are now seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team. Partnering directly with the CEO and international leadership, you will play a defining role in shaping the future of the business driving commercial performance, strengthening organisational capability and creating long-term enterprise value.
This is considerably more than a traditional finance leadership role. It is an opportunity to influence strategy, lead organisational transformation and help build one of the region's leading renewable energy infrastructure businesses.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a trusted commercial adviser and one of the organisation's most influential leaders. Working across every part of the business, you will provide the financial leadership required to support a complex, multi-project EPC and O&M business delivering major renewable energy infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand.
Your Influence Will Extend Across
- Executive strategy and long-term business growth
- Commercial performance and project profitability
- Capital allocation and investment decisions
- Finance transformation and organisational capability
- Corporate governance and enterprise risk
- Funding strategy, treasury and banking relationships
- Strategic growth initiatives and long term business expansion
Success in this role will be measured not only by financial performance, but by the enterprise value you help create through commercial leadership, disciplined capital allocation and the development of a scalable, high-performing finance function.
Your Mandate
As CFO, your leadership will extend well beyond finance. You will help shape strategic direction, improve commercial outcomes and build the financial capability required to support a rapidly growing EPC business. You'll play a critical role in ensuring commercial excellence across the entire project lifecycle, from development and engineering through procurement, construction and long-term operations.
Your Key Priorities Will Include
- Partnering with the CEO to shape business strategy and support informed executive decision-making.
- Driving commercial performance by improving project profitability, forecasting, financial reporting and operational insight across a complex EPC portfolio.
- Building a scalable, best-practice finance function with strong governance, systems, reporting and business intelligence.
- Developing funding strategies, managing banking relationships and supporting strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions and capital opportunities.
- Optimising working capital, treasury and financial risk management to strengthen cash performance and support sustainable growth.
About You
You're a commercially driven finance executive who thrives in high-growth, project-based environments and enjoys building businesses, not simply reporting on them.
Equally comfortable in the boardroom and engaging with operational leaders, you combine strategic thinking with commercial pragmatism, providing the insight and leadership required to influence decisions across the organisation.
You Will Ideally Bring
- Proven success as a CFO, Finance Director or senior finance executive within EPC, engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy or other project-based industries.
- Extensive experience partnering with CEOs and executive leadership teams to drive strategy and commercial performance.
- A strong track record of improving profitability, cash flow and governance across complex project portfolios.
- Experience leading finance transformation, including systems, reporting, business intelligence and organisational capability.
- Deep expertise in project accounting, financial reporting, treasury, risk management and IFRS.
Most importantly, you are an authentic leader who builds high-performing teams, challenges conventional thinking and creates lasting commercial value. You are energised by growth, comfortable navigating complexity and motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of a business operating at the forefront of the renewable energy transition.
