Role Description The Virtual CFO is responsible for overseeing clients’ financial strategy and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading financial planning and budgeting processes, monitoring cash flow, and reviewing financial statements to provide actionable insights. The role involves preparing and presenting financial reports, advising on cost control and profitability, and supporting M&A evaluations and other strategic initiatives. The Virtual CFO will collaborate closely with client leadership teams, interpret financial data, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and controls.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with experience preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial results.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data and support strategic decision-making.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of accounting principles, compliance standards, and internal controls.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; a CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.
- Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a controller, finance director, or fractional/virtual CFO.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with financial modeling tools, ERP/accounting systems, and spreadsheet software.
