Available through Sephora, Nordstrom, and Violet Grey, we're entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a strategic financial leader to help scale the business.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner to our founder and leadership team. This role will oversee financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow management, and operational planning while helping build the financial infrastructure needed to support sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate has experience working with founder-led consumer brands, understands the unique challenges of beauty and omnichannel retail, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling financial forecasts
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to support business growth
- Develop financial models for product launches, inventory planning, and growth initiatives
- Analyze profitability across DTC, Sephora, Amazon, international, and wholesale channels
- Monitor key financial KPIs including gross margin, contribution margin, inventory turns, and customer acquisition efficiency
- Partner with operations to optimize inventory purchasing and demand planning
- Oversee accounting and month-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and executive dashboards
- Support fundraising efforts, investor reporting, and board presentations
- Evaluate financing opportunities and capital allocation strategies
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Establish scalable financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
- Partner closely with marketing and ecommerce teams to evaluate return on investment across customer acquisition, retention, and product launches
Qualifications
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, including CFO or senior finance leadership roles
- Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, skincare, wellness, or luxury consumer brands
- Strong understanding of ecommerce, wholesale, omnichannel retail, and inventory-based businesses
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting platforms
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business recommendations
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Beauty or skincare industry experience
- Experience working with Sephora, Ulta, Amazon, or specialty retail channels
- DTC and ecommerce expertise
- Experience supporting founder-led businesses through periods of rapid growth
- Familiarity with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain finance

- Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible based on business needs)
