A well established business is seeking an experienced CFO to join its leadership team.
You will lead the finance function and play a critical role in shaping business strategy, driving commercial performance, and supporting sustainable growth. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic financial guidance, challenge decision-making where required, and ensure a strong focus on profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and value creation.
This role requires a commercially astute finance leader with strong manufacturing experience who understands the link between operations, supply chain, cost management, pricing, margins, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full finance function across Australia.
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Leadership Team, providing strategic financial and commercial guidance.
- Drive business performance through insightful analysis, reporting, and decision support.
- Own and present monthly financial results, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and key business performance metrics.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, sales, and commercial teams to improve profitability and business outcomes.
- Provide detailed analysis of costs, margins, inventory, product profitability, and operational performance.
- Identify business risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, regulatory, and reporting obligations.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, systems, and business processes.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
About You
You are an accomplished finance executive who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional commercial acumen. You understand the operational drivers of a manufacturing business and can translate financial information into practical actions that improve performance and drive growth.
Essential Requirements
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance, or similar senior finance leadership role.
- 10+ years' experience across accounting, finance, taxation, and commercial finance.
- Strong manufacturing experience with a solid understanding of:
- Pricing and margin optimisation
- Supply chain and operational performance drivers
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to influence business outcomes.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance audiences.
