Chief Financial Officer | Retail & Consumer
We are seeking to connect with an accomplished Chief Financial Officer for an executive leadership opportunity within an established retail and consumer business positioned for its next phase of growth.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on finance executive who wants to operate beyond traditional financial stewardship. The CFO will work closely with senior leadership to help shape strategy, accelerate profitable growth, improve operating performance and strengthen the financial capabilities of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
- Lead the Finance organization, including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and financial modeling.
- Translate financial and operating data into actionable insights that improve revenue, margin, profitability and cash flow.
- Partner across the business to drive stronger commercial and operational performance.
- Optimize inventory, working capital and capital allocation.
- Evaluate growth opportunities, strategic investments and other key business initiatives.
- Develop meaningful KPIs and executive reporting to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, controls and analytics.
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing Finance team.
Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting leadership experience.
- Current or prior CFO experience preferred; exceptional divisional CFOs and senior Finance executives from larger organizations will also be considered.
- Significant experience within retail, consumer, ecommerce or another inventory-intensive business.
- Strong commercial finance capabilities and understanding of the key drivers of sales, margin, inventory and profitability.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and operating leaders.
- Deep experience in FP&A, forecasting, strategic planning and performance management.
- Track record of improving profitability and operating performance.
- Experience leading through growth, transformation or significant change.
- Strong systems, technology, data and analytics orientation.
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
- CPA and/or MBA
