Why join SUBCO
The internet's backbone isn't in the cloud. It's on the ocean floor, and we put it there.
When a video call connects Sydney to Singapore in under 100 milliseconds, or a cloud file reaches the other side of the world in the blink of an eye, that’s undersea cable infrastructure at work. SUBCO designs, builds and operates high-capacity submarine cable systems linking Australia to Asia, the United States, and beyond.
In September 2026, we announced the APX programme; three hypercable systems spanning over 40,000 kilometres. The single largest subsea build ever undertaken by a carrier in the Indo-Pacific.
With $3 billion in infrastructure projects underway, SUBCO is not a startup finding its feet. We're not a slow-moving incumbent watching from the sidelines. We're an Australian, founder-led company scaling fast, doing work that shapes how entire regions connect to the global digital economy. And right now, we're building the team to make it happen!
