We are looking for the Sales Operations Lead for a global technology company based in Arlington, VA that provides services to the U.S. and international governments. This contract position will support the Head of the Government Solutions group. You will work with the Business Development team and other stakeholders to oversee the pipeline, facilitate capture and proposal efforts, and develop sales enablement tools to effectively communicate the value proposition and timing of the company’s services to prospective customers.
Term: 30-40 hours per week, for 6 months.
Location: Some in-office work is required in the Arlington, VA office.
Responsibilities
Implement status, reporting and management processes across the Business Development, Operations, Strategy, Marketing, and Events continuum.
- Oversee the business development pipeline and manage weekly pipeline reviews.
- Assess and report on pipeline health, track associated KPIs, trends, and variance analyses to assure pipeline's ability to deliver LRP targets.
- Align Finance and Business Development teams on pipeline expectations and data sets.
- Manage pipeline data currency in collaboration with Business Development managers.
- Design and manage pipeline dashboards with Salesforce lead.
Manage proposal and capture processes.
- Facilitate and accelerate Business, Finance, Legal, Accounting and Tax (BFLAT) coordination/approvals.
- Coordinate with proposal manager and capture manager to accelerate deal velocity.
- Build processes for effective management of business development cadence and executive communication.
- Lead orchestration of product updates and team logistics.
Develop Voice of the Customer insights and Sales Enablement tools to effectively communicate with prospects and customers.
- Develop process to consolidate Voice of the Customer intelligence captured by the Business Development team into Salesforce.
- Design product/service roadmap to communicate to prospects and customers the timing of service availability and future product launches.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of Sales Operations experience.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and experience developing dashboards to manage pipeline and revenue modeling.
- Capture and/or proposal experience with bidding on government contracts.
- Strong sales enablement background, supporting go-to-market strategies.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams within large, matrixed organizations.
- Business development or sales experience preferred.
