SAP BTM is looking for a Deal Desk Specialist in Germany. Ideal location is in Berlin, Germany. This is a hybrid role.
The Deal Desk Specialist will be part of the Strategy & Operations (S&O) team. The S&O team is responsible for the end-to-end operations of SAP's fastest growing business unit: SAP Business Transformation Management (“BTM”). BTM helps customers achieve better outcomes by delivering actionable performance insights and unlocking tangible business process change.
S&O responsibilities include strategic planning, revenue operations, and high-impact program execution. As subject matter experts in internal sales tools and processes, we enable and evangelize their use, collaborating closely across all functions.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a global Deal Desk Specialist, you will play a major role in enhancing efficiency and fostering growth within our Sales ecosystem. This position requires an individual with a keen focus on precision, problem solving attitude and collaborative skills.
Reporting to the global head of Deal Desk BTM, you contribute to the global S&O-related functions and tasks - with a strong focus on the Middle & Eastern Europe region - and be a trusted business partner to the local Sales management and relevant stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will act as consultant for the BTM Sales team and give advice on topics like compensation, Revenue Recognition, CPQ, T&Cs, Cloud Conversion etc.
- You will review and approve quotes in CPQ to ensure technical and commercial requirements
- Your collaborative skills will connect stakeholders from various teams like Sales, PreSales, Legal, Finance, Products etc. and align on best practices
- You will contribute your operational expertise to various campaigns and GoToMarket initiatives
- You will monitor and improve the entire sales-cycle from marketing lead to contracting
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in economics
- 2-5 years of experience working in a Sales Operations, Sales support, Sales or Deal Support team organization
- A strong background in sales, quote-to-cash process & deal execution
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask, to prioritize and to problem-solve
- Flexibility to work virtually in a global team
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Experienced knowledge with MS Office (Excel and Outlook) and a CRM system, like Harmony/CPQ, Salesforce, etc.)
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written English and German is a Must
- Strong analytical skills

- Location: Berlin based is preferred, but any other German location is possible
