Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Compensation: $275,000 - $315,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Equity

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all aspects of the company’s financial strategy and operations. This executive will play a key role in driving growth, enabling operational efficiency, and serving as a critical partner to the CEO, private equity sponsors, and the broader leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the financial future of a fast-growing retail and industrial business in a PE environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with retail operations, PE growth targets, and multi-unit expansion.
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and Board in all financial matters, including strategic planning and capital allocation.
Operational Finance Oversight
- Lead all financial functions including FP&A, accounting, cash management, tax, and treasury across distributed retail and industrial operations.
- Drive visibility and discipline across store-level and corporate P&Ls, inventory controls, and working capital optimization.
Private Equity Partnership
- Act as the primary liaison with PE sponsors, providing timely and transparent financial reporting, dashboards, and operational KPIs.
- Support exit strategy planning, including readiness for sale or recapitalization.
Performance & Profitability Improvement
- Monitor and enhance financial performance with a focus on gross margin improvement, EBITDA expansion, and unit economics.
- Lead cost control and pricing initiatives tailored to a retail-driven model.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Drive the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across multiple locations and business lines.
- Implement data-driven planning and scenario modeling.
M&A and Integration
- Lead financial due diligence, modeling, and post-close integration for tuck-in acquisitions.
- Build scalable finance systems to support future M&A activity.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a best-in-class finance and accounting organization with a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years as a CFO or senior financial executive in a PE-backed retail, industrial, or multi-site environment.
- Proven track record of driving financial transformation, operational efficiency, and profitable growth.
- Deep expertise in retail unit economics, inventory management, and cost controls.
- Strong command of GAAP, financial systems, and M&A processes.
- Ability to navigate fast-paced, PE-backed environments with a hands-on and execution-oriented mindset.
- Skilled in building and developing high-performance teams.
