E57 Partners is partnering with a private equity-backed manufacturing company in the DFW Metro Area to identify a strategic and operationally focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This organization is entering a critical phase of growth and value creation, and the CFO will play a key role in partnering with the CEO, Board, and private equity sponsors to help scale the business while driving operational discipline, financial visibility, and long-term enterprise value.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic finance leadership and hands-on operational execution, with prior experience helping lead a middle-market manufacturing business through significant growth—ideally scaling from approximately $100M in revenue to $400M+.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a finance executive who thrives in private equity-backed environments and understands how to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day operational finance management.
For the right candidate, the company is open to a hybrid travel model, including approximately two weeks per month on-site in the DFW Metro Area.
Position Summary
The CFO will have full responsibility for the company’s finance and accounting organization and will serve as a critical strategic advisor to the CEO and private equity ownership group.
This individual will lead all aspects of:
- Financial strategy and planning
- Accounting and controllership
- FP&A and KPI reporting
- Banking and capital structure management
- M&A execution and integration support
- Operational finance and manufacturing analytics
- Cash flow optimization and working capital management
- Board and lender reporting
The successful candidate must be comfortable operating both strategically and tactically within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Partner closely with the CEO and private equity sponsors to drive enterprise value creation initiatives
- Lead financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning efforts
- Develop scalable financial infrastructure to support continued growth and operational expansion
- Provide strategic insight into pricing, margins, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement initiatives
Manufacturing & Operational Finance
- Drive financial performance across manufacturing operations, including inventory, supply chain, labor efficiency, and cost accounting
- Improve operational KPI reporting and business intelligence visibility across the organization
- Partner with operations leadership to improve margins, throughput, and working capital performance
- Lead initiatives around process improvement, financial controls, and operational scalability
Private Equity & Capital Markets Partnership
- Serve as primary finance liaison to private equity ownership and Board stakeholders
- Support lender relationships, banking negotiations, and capital structure management
- Manage covenant reporting, liquidity planning, and financing strategies
- Lead preparation of board materials, lender presentations, and investor reporting packages
M&A & Growth Execution
- Support acquisition evaluation, financial diligence, and integration activities
- Partner with leadership on acquisition strategy and post-close integration execution
- Drive financial integration, reporting alignment, and synergy tracking across acquired businesses
- Assist in future strategic transactions and exit preparation activities as needed
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor the accounting, finance, and FP&A teams
- Build a high-performance finance organization capable of supporting continued growth
- Create accountability, visibility, and operational rigor across the finance function
- Foster a collaborative and business-oriented finance culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Prior CFO experience within a middle-market company environment required
- Strong manufacturing industry experience required
- Demonstrated success helping scale a business from approximately $100M to $400M+ in revenue preferred
- Deep understanding of operational finance, manufacturing accounting, inventory, and cost accounting environments
- Experience working within private equity-backed organizations strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing banking relationships, capital structures, and middle-market lenders
- Significant M&A experience, including diligence, integration, and sponsor communication
- Strong executive presence with ability to communicate effectively with Boards, investors, lenders, and operational leadership teams
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically while remaining close to the business
