MEI Auto Group is seeking a motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be responsible for developing budgetary and forecasting targets as well as interpreting and reporting financial results to various parties consisting of executive management and committees. You will monitor the company's financial performance, economic conditions as well as competitive changes in order to recommend needed changes to business strategies and operations. The CFO oversees Treasury and Cash Management functions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a variety of tasks to include accounting, finance, process improvement and special projects.
- Reports directly to CEO (advising on Contracts, agreements and Cash flow activities)
- Provide reporting, analysis and financial understanding on operational issues.
- Ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financial documents, including, monthly profit and loss statements, forecasts and budgets.
- Analyze operating processes and expenditures on an ongoing basis and recommend & implement improvements.
- Meet all financial team deadlines to include month end, quarter and year-end close duties, balance sheet management, forecasting, budgeting and reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain internal controls.
- Direct annual budget preparation along with monthly financial/statistical result reporting with budget variance analysis
- Oversee daily cash and treasury management activities Oversees all financial aspects of dealership operations for the dealership group.
- Forecast and budget revenues and expenses.
- Benchmark each department to ensure optimum performance and advise CEO of cost and benefit of proposed initiatives.
- Uphold and implement policies and procedures to protect dealership assets, including but not limited to vehicle inventory, parts inventory, vehicle receivables, contracts in transit to name a few.
- Represent the Company in all audits, compliance and legal affairs.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree/ MBA highly desirable plus a minimum of 10 years of experience working in a combination of financial, operations or analytical role in a multi division corporation preference will be given to candidates with strong automotive experience.
- Experience working with automated financial systems and a CPA or CMA certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Working knowledge of financial transaction processing systems
- Ability to direct the development and preparation of an organization’s annual operating plan.
- Ability to effectively interact with external auditors and regulators.
- Ability to develop and lead accounting and financial staff.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
