Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our small supported housing CIC project along side our executive team. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation, ensuring robust financial management and organisational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and services, alongside exceptional leadership capabilities to manage a diverse finance team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow and optimise the organisation's financial performance through effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive organisational growth.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Managing a small team within accounts & HR
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role within a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of organisational finance, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans that drive organisational success.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable.
