Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals; lead annual budgeting, financial modeling, and scenario planning using AI-driven tools for predictive analytics.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations: Spearhead fundraising efforts, including venture capital, private equity, or debt financing; prepare pitch decks, manage cap tables, and maintain relationships with investors and board members.
- Financial Operations and Reporting: Oversee accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting; ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and audits; deliver quarterly and annual reports to stakeholders.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including cybersecurity and regulatory challenges; ensure adherence to global standards like GDPR and evolving tax laws.
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor finance teams (e.g., controllers, analysts); foster a data-driven culture and implement tools like ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) or AI platforms for efficiency.
- Strategic Partnership with Leadership: Collaborate with CEO, CTO, and CMO to align financial goals with product development (e.g., AI chatbot scalability) and marketing initiatives (e.g., YouTube Shorts campaigns); advise on M&A opportunities and pricing strategies.
- Technology Integration: Leverage AI and machine learning for financial forecasting, cost optimization, and fraud detection; stay updated on 2025 fintech trends like blockchain for transactions.
- Performance Metrics and KPIs: Track and optimize metrics like EBITDA, burn rate, ARR (for SaaS), and cash runway; provide data-driven insights to support scaling and profitability.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
- Experience: 7-10+ years in financial leadership, with 3+ years as a CFO or senior finance role in tech, SaaS, or AI-driven companies; proven success in raising $5M+ in funding or managing budgets of $10M+.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in financial tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero), data analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI), and AI-driven forecasting tools; familiarity with SaaS metrics and subscription models.
- Soft Skills: Strategic vision, exceptional communication for board and investor presentations, leadership in high-pressure environments, and ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Certifications (Preferred): CPA, CFA, or Certified Management Accountant (CMA); coursework in AI for finance or fintech is a plus.

- Experience in tech startups or AI/SaaS companies, particularly with subscription-based models or chatbot platforms.
