What you'll do:
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across Finance, Compliance, People & Culture, and Legal functions to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Own the company's profit and loss management for Australia & New Zealand, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, margin management, and EBIT accountability.
- Partner with the CEO to develop organisational strategy while integrating finance considerations into all business units for optimal commercial outcomes.
- Support sales and operations teams by delivering pricing guidance, estimating support, margin controls, forecasting accuracy, and commercial performance insights.
- Drive cash collection initiatives, accounts receivable reduction strategies, reconciliation processes, and liquidity management to maintain financial health.
- Identify cost optimisation opportunities through resource management initiatives while ensuring effective contract management processes are in place.
- Maintain strong inventory oversight for both hardware and software sales models to optimise balance sheet requirements.
- Evaluate R&D investments to ensure robust returns on product innovation and future development projects.
- Implement FP&A tools, ERP systems (such as SAP or NetSuite), automation solutions, and business systems to enhance data visibility and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including tax, audit, corporate governance across all corporate functions while managing risk effectively.
Whar you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline is essential for this senior executive position.
- CPA or CA professional qualification is required along with proven audit capabilities; postgraduate qualifications in business or strategy are desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L ($70m+), budgeting processes, forecasting activities and EBIT accountability within multi-territory organisations.
- Proven track record leading multi-functional corporate teams including Finance, HR and Legal across complex operational environments.
- Expertise in FP&A functions as well as business partnering frameworks supporting planning decisions at executive level.
- Experience driving resource allocation strategies for cost optimisation initiatives alongside R&D investment evaluation for product innovation.
- Solid understanding of both physical inventory management and intangible software supply chain dynamics relevant to balance sheet optimisation.
- Track record of delivering operational improvements via process enhancement initiatives such as automation or new system implementations (ERP/FP&A).
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance requirements including statutory reporting obligations for financial/people functions; exposure to public sector contracts is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling influential communication with executives/business units/vendors/auditors; high engagement style fostering team development.
