Dexterous is a values-driven organisation that builds and runs internal finance teams for our clients. We leverage off-the-shelf tools and RPA technologies, supported by a global workforce, to deliver a highly scalable, full-service finance solution—helping businesses realise their impact.
This is a client-facing CFO role responsible for leading financial strategy, reporting, and systems uplift across a client group, while also supporting family office-style investment reporting and governance where required. You’ll be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders—bringing clarity, structure, and commercial insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with client leadership to drive financial strategy, decision support, and performance insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow/liquidity, and capital allocation across a multi-entity environment
- Deliver monthly management accounts with clear analysis and recommendations
- Prepare quarterly investment reporting (portfolio performance and group returns, where applicable)
- Support and improve external investor/fund reporting processes
- Drive finance transformation: implement/optimise systems (incl. AI-enabled reporting and loan management), improve the tech stack, and strengthen data governance/cybersecurity with compliance
- Oversee investment processes: due diligence, monitoring, structuring review (tax/entity), and coordination with external tax/legal advisors
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team and improve reporting timelines without compromising quality
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven senior finance leadership experience (CFO/FD/Head of Finance), ideally in multi-entity or complex environments
- Strong FP&A, management reporting, and cashflow capability with a commercial, advisory mindset
- A track record of client-facing stakeholder management (trusted advisor style, clear communication, calm under pressure)
- Experience uplifting finance processes/systems (automation, controls, data integrity)
- High discretion and confidence working with sensitive information and governance requirements
- Strong people leadership and the ability to deliver outcomes in a lean, high-impact setup
