OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking for a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial function within a manufacturing / FMCG environment. The CFO will be responsible for driving financial strategy, governance, performance management, and value creation while supporting business expansion, cost optimization, and operational excellence. Prior overseas or international exposure will be a strong advantage, particularly in managing multi-entity operations, cross-border finance, and global stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing financial insights, forecasts, and risk assessments.
- Support business growth initiatives, M&A evaluations, and capital allocation decisions.
2.Financial Planning & Performance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Drive profitability improvement, cost controls, and working capital optimization.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure financial discipline across operations.
3.Manufacturing / FMCG Finance
- Oversee product costing, margin analysis, and inventory management.
- Ensure accurate accounting for manufacturing overheads, supply chain, and distribution costs.
- Partner with operations to enhance plant performance, efficiency, and yield optimization.
4.Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Lead audit, tax planning, treasury, and internal control frameworks.
- Manage enterprise-wide financial risk, FX exposure, and cash flow.
5.International & Overseas Exposure (Added Advantage)
- Manage cross-border financial operations, foreign subsidiaries, and international reporting.
- Handle multi-currency environments, international taxation, and overseas stakeholders.
- Support expansion into new markets through global financial planning and controls.
6.Leadership & Team Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, supply chain, and operations leadership.
PRE - REQUISITES:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- MBA or advanced financial qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing or FMCG.
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Leader.
- Overseas or international work experience is highly desirable.
