Role Overview
We are looking for a senior finance leader who will own the entire financial ecosystem of the organization—from strategy and controls to identifying revenue leakages and building scalable systems. This is a business-critical role, not a compliance-only position. The person will work closely with founders and leadership to drive profitability, financial discipline, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
• Act as a strategic advisor to founders on financial planning and decision-making
• Build and own annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash-flow models
• Evaluate business models, pricing strategies, and unit economics
• Support growth initiatives with data-backed financial insights
2. Revenue Assurance & Cost Optimization
• Identify revenue leakages, margin gaps, and inefficiencies across systems
• Track revenue vs realization and plug process loopholes
• Optimize costs without impacting business velocity
• Monitor profitability at client / product / campaign level
3. Financial Controls & Governance
• Own end-to-end finance: accounting, taxation, audits, compliance
• Strengthen internal controls across invoicing, collections, payouts & refunds
• Ensure accurate MIS, dashboards, and timely reporting to leadership
4. Systems & Process Building
• Audit existing finance and operational processes
• Implement scalable finance systems, tools, and reporting frameworks
• Build finance dashboards that founders can quickly act upon
5. Team Leadership
• Build, mentor, and lead the finance team
• Drive ownership, accountability, and high standards across the function
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 10–15+ years of experience in Finance Leadership roles
• Prior experience as CFO / Finance Head / Director – Finance
• Strong exposure to startups, scale-ups, or VC/PE-backed companies
• Experience with complex revenue models (SaaS, marketplace, fintech, consumer tech, platforms)
• Strong business acumen — understands how sales, growth, tech & ops impact finances
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, yet strategic in thinking
What Will Not Work
• Pure accounting-only or compliance-focused profiles
• Candidates uncomfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Leaders who operate only as back-office support
Bring this Mindset:
This role needs a builder + strategist, not a caretaker.
The person should:
• Think “Why is this number happening?”, not just “What is the number?”
• Be obsessed with:
i. Revenue leakages
ii. Margin erosion
iii. Cost inefficiencies
iv. Process loopholes
• Be comfortable challenging founders / business heads with data
• Ask uncomfortable but necessary questions
