Job Overview
Pitchbook’s Senior Technical Program Manager drives strategic cross functional initiatives for the Enterprise Technology team. This role leverages robust technical expertise to unify cross functional teams driving them towards defined program milestones and deliverables, removing bottlenecks escalating risks/issues as needed, providing visibility to progress and overall ensuring effective collaboration across teams. Specifically, this role will lead execution of Pitchbook’s multiyear Enterprise Technology roadmaps ensuring successful delivery and implementation.
Team Overview
The Program Management team in Enterprise Technology ensures the successful execution of key cross functional initiatives and large feature capabilities through effective program management. Technical Program Managers drive cross functional initiatives and large feature capabilities that are top priority for PitchBook. The Program Management team in Product drives the delivery of the product roadmaps that require collaboration across multiple teams. They establish guidelines and best practices for software and product delivery and provide visibility into overall performance of product delivery and execution.
Outline of Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the Technical Program Manager in support of Enterprise Technology owning planning, execution, and delivery for programs or high-profile capabilities, driving roadmap, execution and delivery

Partner with business partners, enterprise architects, technical leads, and key stakeholders, to ensure requirements are defined and scoped.
- Ability to dive into technical details, understanding and providing feedback to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.

Build a robust plan, that identifies deliverables, required resources, and timing for executing a solution build that meets the overall requirements.

Drive dependency mapping across systems, teams, and roadmaps, ensuring sequencing is clear and risks are proactively managed.

Facilitate architecture and design reviews where appropriate to ensure technical feasibility and cross-system alignment.

Manage cross-team dependencies, align roadmaps and unblock teams. Support planning activities that identify dependencies.

Hold the team accountable to meet key committed deliverables.

Define clear goals, prioritize the right work and use data to drive crisp decisions in partnership with stakeholders across multiple locations around the world.

Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues & conflicts affecting goal achievement, escalating when needed for resolution.

Keep the team, sponsor and relevant stakeholders informed on progress to goal.
- Implement structure order and clarity to ambiguous problems with little direction or oversight.
- Coach teams in an agile environment to support their planning and delivery, helping them to identify gaps, and make their processes more efficient.

Collaborate with other TPMs and Program Managers within the organization to continuously improve our program management best practices.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
-
5+ years of technical program management.
-
2+ years vendor management experience.

Ability to dive into technical details, and translate back in non technical terms.
- Experience program managing cross-functional programs for an organization with a strong understanding of program management fundamentals.
- Deep understanding of software product life cycle and how to apply that to enterprise vendor owned software as a service systems

Experience partnering with enterprise architects and engineering leadership to influence design decisions and ensure cross-system alignment.

Able to work across multiple globally dispersed teams and stakeholders at all levels of seniority, build strong trusted relationships and lead through influence.

Analytics mindset, be able to create reporting and influence decisions using data to support effective decision making.

Able to effectively manage ambiguity and competing priorities and help teams prioritize and focus.

Self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team.

Experience in shipping multiple features, and services, simultaneously, in an Agile environment

Ability to breakdown a large and complex program/projects into distinct and incremental deliverables

Experience coaching teams in software development agile practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Advanced expertise with program management tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet); ability to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.

Proven experience driving large-scale, multi-year technical programs that span multiple products, platforms, or business units.

Strong background in dependency mapping, systems integration, and API lifecycle management.

Deep understanding of software architecture, data pipelines, and cloud-native/SaaS environments.

Demonstrated success building or scaling program governance frameworks (operating rhythms, RACI models, risk management practices).

Track record of influencing senior leadership and executives, driving alignment across multiple organizations.

Strong change management skills; ability to guide organizations through process, tooling, or cultural shifts.

Familiarity with financial services, private equity, or venture capital markets is a strong plus.

Advanced certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe SPC, or PMI-ACP.

Experience mentoring other TPMs or Program Managers and shaping a community of practice.
Working Conditions
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events
