Role Overview:
We are hiring for our client who seeks a Senior Financial Controller / CFO to lead its finance function and drive financial excellence across its expanding waste management operations. This senior leadership role is based at the Lake Town Head Office, Kolkata, and will play a pivotal role in financial strategy, governance, reporting, compliance, and growth initiatives.
➢ Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
· Provide financial strategy, planning, and direction aligned with growth objectives in waste management services.
· Act as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director and Board, offering insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Financial Planning & Analysis
· Lead annual budgets, periodic forecasting, scenario modeling, and variance analysis.
· Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to support operational decisions across waste processing, logistics, and service delivery units.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
· Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting in line with Indian accounting standards.
· Oversee statutory compliance including GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and environmental taxation considerations.
· Coordinate with statutory auditors and regulatory authorities.
Cash, Treasury & Risk Management
· Manage cash flow planning, funding requirements, working capital, and banking relationships.
· Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to support continuity and investment plans.
Internal Controls & Governance
· Strengthen financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks across operations.
· Lead internal audits and coordinate corrective actions.
Operational Finance & Project Support
· Support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis of service lines like biomedical waste treatment, hazardous waste management, and logistics.
· Provide financial oversight on capital expenditure, project financing, and infrastructure expansion.
People Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
· Build high-performance culture with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and ethical practices.
➢ Qualifications & Experience
· Completed Chartered Accountant mandatory.
· 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role (Financial Controller / CFO / Head of Finance).
· Experience in services, regulated industries, and multi-location operations preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, reporting standards, compliance, and corporate governance.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
