Marketplace Brands is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Operations Associate to join our growing team.
This role offers hands-on exposure to the operational engine of the company. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, sales, customer service, finance, logistics, and leadership to ensure processes run efficiently and accurately. If you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and keeping projects on track, this position provides a strong foundation for long-term career growth in business operations. Comprehensive hands-on training will be provided to ensure you understand our systems, workflows, and quality standards. You’ll receive direct guidance from experienced team members and gain practical experience with real projects from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct support to department leadership by assisting with day-to-day operational activities, project tracking, and priority management
- Set up and maintain customer and vendor accounts, and item data within internal systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Review, process, and verify sales orders to ensure correct pricing, costing, quantities, shipping details, and compliance with customer requirements
- Prepare supporting operational documentation, reports, and supporting materials for internal and external use
- Manage and track operational data using Microsoft Excel and ERP system, maintaining organized and accurate records
- Develop detailed reports, data analysis, and sales presentations to support decision-making and customer meetings
- Collaborate and provide operational support to international teams in China and Mexico, ensuring alignment on timelines, documentation, and execution
- Verify data accuracy in accordance with customer quality assurance (QA) standards and contractual requirements
- Coordinate across departments — including sales, customer service, billing, purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams — to ensure orders and projects move efficiently from initiation to completion
- Monitor project timelines and proactively follow up on open tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with costing analysis, purchasing coordination, and shipment logistics to support smooth order fulfillment
- Identify process gaps and contribute to the development and improvement of operational policies, procedures, and workflows
- Support cross-functional initiatives and respond to real-time operational needs in a fast-paced environment
This role requires exceptional organization, strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in operations, office administration, or customer support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and follow-through
- Self-motivated with an execution-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
