Job Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
· Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with TERI's mission and goals.
· Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
· Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Management and Reporting:
· Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and policies.
· Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risks.
Operational Efficiency:
· Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
· Implement best practices in financial management and controls.
· Monitor and control operational expenses to achieve financial targets.
Funding and Grants Management:
· Oversee the management of grants, donations, and funding sources.
· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to donors and stakeholders.
· Develop strategies to enhance funding and resource mobilization.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve high performance.
· Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
· Ensure professional development and training for finance staff.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, donors, and partners.
· Represent TERI in financial discussions and negotiations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
Risk Management:
· Identify, assess, and manage financial risks.
· Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
· Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandetory.
Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
· Experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in energy and environmental organizations, is preferred.
· Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
