Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on CFO to lead the finance function and partner closely with promoter leadership. The role is critical in building financial discipline, scalable systems, and profitability frameworks as the company expands across retail, manufacturing, and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Business Partnering ● Drive overall financial strategy aligned with growth, expansion, and profitability goals ● Partner with promoters and leadership team on business decisions, investments, and expansion plans ● Build long-term financial models supporting retail, manufacturing, and export growth
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) ● Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across business units ● Provide actionable insights on margins, product profitability, and cost optimization ● Drive data-backed decision-making across functions
3. Controllership & Compliance ● Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and statutory compliance ● Oversee direct & indirect taxation (GST, Income Tax, etc.) ● Strengthen internal controls, governance, and audit processes
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management ● Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital cycles ● Optimize inventory, receivables, and payables in a multi-location setup ● Drive efficient fund utilization and capital allocation
5. Costing & Profitability (Critical for FMCG/Food Business) ● Implement strong product costing and margin tracking frameworks ● Drive cost control across procurement, production, and distribution ● Improve gross margins and operational efficiency
6. Systems, Processes & ERP ● Strengthen financial systems, MIS, and ERP-driven reporting ● Build scalable finance processes to support multi-outlet and global operations ● Ensure real-time visibility into financial performance
7. Team Leadership & Capability Building ● Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team ● Build a high-performance, process-driven finance function ● Drive accountability, ownership, and performance culture 8. Stakeholder Management ● Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders ● Support fundraising, debt structuring, and investor discussions (if required)
Candidate Profile
● CA (Mandatory) with 10–15 years of experience
● Strong experience in FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Retail / Multi-location business
● Proven track record in team management and leadership roles
● Strong exposure to FP&A, controllership, taxation, and working capital management
● Experience in ERP systems and process-driven environments
● Ability to work closely with promoter-led businesses / growth-stage companies
