The client of ours is a Global Conglomerate within the Technology Service Industry with presence across America, Europe and Asia Pacific. They are currently expanding their footprint in APAC and is looking for an experienced Director, Sales Operations & Inventory Management to be based in Singapore. This is a people management role.
You are responsible for driving sales operational excellence and inventory management across the APAC region, aligning closely with global strategies and customer priorities. The position focuses on building a high-performing operations function that enables sales teams to achieve stronger results while balancing commercial growth with operational and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Operations Excellence
- Develop and implement processes, tools, and insights to enhance pipeline accuracy, sales execution, and customer experience.
- Drive operational rigor across the sales organization to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support sales teams with data-driven insights to enable better decision-making and performance outcomes.
2. Global Collaboration
- Partner with global counterparts to ensure alignment, consistency, and adoption of best practices across regions.
- Contribute to global initiatives, ensuring APAC requirements and perspectives are represented.
- Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration between regional and global teams.
3. Inventory Management & Commercial Alignment
- Lead inventory planning and optimization strategies to support customer demand and business growth.
- Partner with sales leadership to align inventory strategies with commercial objectives.
- Manage working capital effectively, balancing financial performance with service levels.
4. Business Partnership
- Build strong, trusted relationships with sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic advisor at the intersection of sales, operations, and finance.
- Ensure operational strategies directly support business growth and customer satisfaction.
5. Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse and distributed team across APAC.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Empower teams to take initiative, make informed decisions, and act as trusted business partners.
6. Process & Functional Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sales operations and inventory management.
- Implement scalable processes and systems enhancements to support regional and global alignment.
- Provide thought leadership in areas such as inventory optimization, working capital management, and operational best practices.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing staff and programs at national, district or regional level.
- Working knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve forecasted goals.
- Understands competitive landscape, market insights and effectively communicates across key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven success in for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
- Excellent time management and computer skills
- Ability to travel 25% - 50%
