Build, don't inherit.
Triskele Labs is a leading provider of sovereign Australian cybersecurity services. We are entering our next phase of growth and appointing our first full-time Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, replacing a fractional CFO model.
This is a hands-on builder role. You will own the CFO function end to end, from monthly management accounts, lender reporting and cashflow through to pricing, cost-to-serve and working capital discipline. You will lead a small finance team, including a newly appointed Financial Controller and accounts payable support, lifting capability and shaping the function as the business scales.
We are looking for a CFO who is AI and LLM native: someone who reaches for automation first, not last. At Triskele Labs that is not an aspiration on a slide. The organisation is rapidly pivoting to agentic workflows, and finance is next. You will lead that build and embed it across the team: scheduled AI briefs on live Xero data, automated AR and cash monitoring, and forecast versus actuals reporting delivered daily to Slack. There is no stack to inherit. You will design it, build it, and be measured in part on how much of the routine you eliminate.
You will report directly to the CEO, sit on the Executive Leadership Team, and partner on the commercial, operational and governance decisions that shape the business over the next three to five years.
What you will own
- Finance leadership: end-to-end ownership of financial strategy, planning, control, reporting, treasury, tax, audit and compliance.
- Company Secretary: board governance, statutory compliance, minutes, registers and ASIC obligations.
- Legal oversight: manage the legal function in partnership with external counsel across contracts, commercial agreements, employment and IP.
- Planning and forecasting: build the financial model from the ground up, move the business from billing-based to net revenue, and own gross margin forecasting, OPEX discipline and EBITDA protection.
- Executive reporting: design the reporting suite for the board, executive, lenders and Quarterly Business Reviews. None of it exists in its final form today. That is the point.
- AI-native operations: build AI into modelling, forecasting, reporting and workflow as the default, not the add-on, and bring the team with you.
- Team leadership: lead and develop a small finance team, including a newly appointed Financial Controller, and build capability as the function scales.
- Commercial partnership: partner with the CEO and executive on pricing, deal structure, capital allocation, commission plans and hiring.
What you bring
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Company Secretary credentials, or AICD or Governance Institute credentials with the intent to take on the role.
- Senior finance leadership experience in a scaling business, ideally professional services, technology or cybersecurity.
- You have built or rebuilt a finance function before, not just run one.
- Strong commercial instinct and a track record of partnering with founders, CEOs and executive teams.
- Comfortable across strategy, FP&A, controllership, treasury, tax, audit and lender management.
Why this role
You see a scaling, founder-led, sovereign cybersecurity business heading into FY27 as a canvas, not a constraint. If a greenfield finance stack and an AI-native mandate energises you rather than unsettles you, we want to hear from you.
