Company Overview

Our client is a well-established financial services company. They are seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide stability and strategic leadership across the finance function during an important period for the business. This is an opportunity for a proven CFO, with experience in a listed environment to step into a high-impact leadership role.

Role Overview

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the Interim CFO will take full accountability for the finance function, providing steady and credible leadership while ensuring continuity of financial operations, reporting and governance. Key responsibilities include:

Provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation during the interim period
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
Ensure the integrity of financial statements, statutory reporting and regulatory disclosures
Manage relationships with the Board, Audit Committee and external auditors
Maintain strong financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks
Act as a key point of contact for regulators, investors and other external stakeholders
Lead, mentor and stabilise the finance team throughout the transition period
Support the business in preparing for the appointment of a permanent CFO, including handover planning

Skills & Experience

Proven prior experience as CFO of an ASX-listed company is essential
Strong background within financial services
Demonstrated experience reporting to and engaging with Boards and Audit Committees
Excellent understanding of statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements
Strong track record in financial control, governance and risk management
Proven ability to lead and stabilise a finance team during periods of change
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
CA or CPA qualified
Immediately available or able to commence at short notice
