About the Role
We are looking for a strong, action-oriented Business Operations Manager to join our mobility team in Hyderabad. The candidate will own the city's business for the car, auto, and moto - setting growth strategy, supply planning, driving ground execution, and improving driver and rider experience. The candidate will work closely with central teams, local partners, and external stakeholders to unlock sustainable growth and make Uber the preferred way to move in Hyderabad.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Supply & Partner Management: Plan and drive supply acquisition and activation through channel partners, street outreach, and central channels. Help partners and street teams grow with Uber, so they achieve targets, earn well, and can run their operations smoothly with minimal hand-holding.
-
Earner Growth: Own the earner lifecycle with support from telecalling teams, channel partners, Earner Ops, and Marketplace. Design and run local experiments on payouts, incentives, and geo expansion, and use on-ground feedback to advocate for driver needs internally.
- Execution & Governance: Run tight operating cadences (daily standups, weekly reviews, monthly deep dives) and ensure consistent use of core processes and dashboards across supply, churn, and budget. Maintain strong outreach rhythms with telecalling and street teams to drive engagement and reduce churn.
- Cross-Functional & Analytics: Act as the single-threaded owner for Hyderabad with central teams (Marketplace, Planning, Channels, Earner Ops, Policy, Airports, Safety, Legal/Law Enforcement). Analyze driver and supply data to identify issues, build hypotheses, and drive city-level improvements.
- People Leadership & Ownership: Manage and coach a large team, building a high-ownership, outcome-focused, data-driven culture. Take full ownership of the Hyderabad market, proactively spotting problems and pushing initiatives that move the business forward.
- External & Regulatory Engagement: Build strong relationships with local stakeholders (transport authorities, driver associations, aggregator bodies) to keep operations running without disruption. Partner with Policy and Government Relations on key city/state regulatory topics.
What the Candidate Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in field-facing or fleet/partner-facing sales, operations, business development roles within Mobility, Logistics, e-commerce/internet, and FMCG industries. Proficiency in SQL is a plus.
-
Demonstrated experience leading teams in a high-velocity, ambiguous environment.
-
Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with operational dashboards and Excel/Google Sheets to diagnose issues and size opportunities.
-
Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority. Roll up the sleeves attitude to tackle something hands-on.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Telugu; Hindi/Urdu will be an added advantage.
-
Working knowledge of Hyderabad geography and business landscape.
