Compensation: $295,000 - $300,000+ Base Salary + Profit Sharing
Schedule: Onsite, 5 Days Per Week

Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and shareholders, driving financial performance, profitability, growth planning, and long-term business strategy across the organization.
This is a highly visible executive role that requires a confident leader capable of influencing key stakeholders, navigating complex compensation structures, and providing financial guidance that impacts firm-wide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with executive leadership on profitability targets, strategic planning, and long-term financial objectives.
Analyze business unit performance, pricing strategies, billing rates, realization, and overall financial performance.
Advise senior leadership on shareholder compensation models, origination credit structures, billable performance, and collections.
Evaluate the financial impact of strategic growth initiatives, including lateral acquisitions and expansion opportunities.
Direct all aspects of finance, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Oversee accounts receivable, working capital management, cash flow, and shareholder distributions.
Develop and manage annual budgets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize return on investment.
Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, capital structure, and financial covenant compliance.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and reporting processes.
Qualifications
5+ years of senior finance leadership experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
Prior experience serving as a CFO, VP Finance, Director of Finance, Controller, or similar executive finance leader.
Strong understanding of partner/shareholder compensation models, billing economics, realization, utilization, and collections.
Experience managing financial operations across multiple offices or business units.
Proficiency with Aderant, Elite, or comparable professional services financial management platforms.
CPA strongly preferred.
Excellent executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a strong, direct, and confident finance executive who is comfortable operating as both a strategic advisor and hands-on operator. This individual will have the executive presence to work closely with senior shareholders and leadership while possessing the operational discipline to oversee the day-to-day financial health of the organization.
