Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) — Merchant Acquiring & Payment Processing
Location: Doral, FL (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Job Type: Full-Time, Executive
Industry: Merchant Acquiring / Payment Processing / Fintech
Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000 Base + Unlimited Commission
About Us
We're a fast-growing, founder-led merchant acquiring and payment processing company based in Miami, serving businesses across South Florida, the Caribbean (Puerto Rico & USVI), and Latin America. We deliver secure, scalable payment solutions — card acquiring, ACH processing, POS hardware integrations, embedded payments, merchant cash advances, and equipment leasing — to merchants in restaurants, retail, healthcare, parking, and e-commerce.
We're a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) organization with deep roots in the LATAM business community, and we're scaling fast across both our direct sales force and our ISO/agent partner network. If you've spent your career in merchant acquiring and you're ready for the executive seat, this is your next move.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Chief Revenue Officer to lead and scale our entire revenue engine. This is a hands-on executive role for a proven payments operator — someone who's just as comfortable closing a six-figure merchant deal personally as they are building out a sales floor, recruiting ISO agents, and reporting to the board. You'll own commercial strategy end-to-end and have a direct seat at the leadership table, partnering with the CEO and President to shape where this company goes next.
This is not a strategy-only role. We need someone who's lived the acquiring business — underwriting, residuals, interchange, chargebacks — and knows how to turn that knowledge into a growing merchant portfolio.
What You'll Do
Revenue Strategy & Growth
- Own and execute the company's end-to-end revenue growth strategy across all verticals and geographies
- Set revenue targets, track KPIs, and adjust strategy in real time
- Identify new market opportunities across South Florida, the Caribbean, and LATAM
- Lead pricing strategy — interchange optimization, dual pricing/cash discount structuring, and surcharge programs
Merchant Acquiring & Sales Leadership
- Drive new merchant acquisition across restaurants, retail, healthcare, parking, and e-commerce
- Own the full merchant sales lifecycle: lead gen, prospecting, underwriting submission, onboarding, retention
- Build, manage, and coach a high-performing direct sales team
- Establish sales governance: pipeline management, CRM hygiene, forecasting, performance reviews
- Get personally involved in high-value merchant and partner sales cycles
ISO, Agent & Partner Channel Development
- Recruit, onboard, and manage ISO agents, referral partners, and independent sales organizations
- Structure competitive residual and commission programs that attract and retain top producers
- Build co-selling partnerships with POS hardware and software platforms
- Develop referral relationships with banks, credit unions, accountants, and LATAM business associations
Executive Leadership
- Sit on the executive leadership team, working directly with the CEO and President
- Deliver weekly/monthly revenue reporting and board-level updates
- Represent the company at industry events and LATAM business community forums
What You Bring
- 5+ years of executive or senior leadership experience in merchant acquiring, payment processing, or ISO/MSP operations — this is a must-have; we're looking for real, hands-on acquiring-side experience, not adjacent industries
- Deep knowledge of the acquiring ecosystem: interchange, card brand rules (Visa/Mastercard/Amex), merchant underwriting, risk and chargeback management, residual structures
- A track record of growing a merchant portfolio — through direct sales, ISO/agent channels, or both
- Hands-on experience with POS hardware and payment gateway platforms (Clover, Dejavoo, or similar)
- Familiarity with cash discount, dual pricing, and surcharge compliance
- Bonus points for ACH processing, merchant cash advance, or equipment leasing experience
- An existing network of ISOs, agents, or merchant referral partners is a big plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish — required
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- ETA membership or CPP certification a plus
