Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar, responsible for leading Befree’s financial strategy and operations. The CFO will oversee financial planning and budgeting, monitor cash flow, manage financial risk, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role includes reviewing and analyzing financial statements, guiding cost optimization initiatives, and supporting strategic decision-making with data-driven insights. The CFO will implement and refine financial controls, collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, and support compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The position also involves mentoring finance team members, contributing to process automation initiatives, and representing the finance function in key client and stakeholder discussions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with practical experience in Financial Planning and budgeting.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience in financial risk management, cash flow management, and cost optimization in a growth-oriented organization.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and relevant financial systems or ERP tools.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent advanced degree are highly beneficial.
- Experience in outsourcing, shared services, or technology-driven financial operations is an advantage.
