VP of Sales
Location: Chicago, IL (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with the company's overarching goals and objectives.
• Create a sales roadmap that includes market segmentation, target accounts, and sales methodologies.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and manage the sales teams, including sales leaders, sales development managers, account executives, and sales enablement.
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales professionals to ensure high performance and skill development.
Sales Operations:
• Oversee sales operations, including territory management, sales enablement, and compensation planning.
• Optimize sales processes to ensure alignment with revenue and growth targets.
• Offer sales methodology training and coaching to improve sales performance.
• Work to optimize sales tech stack to support growth.
Revenue Forecasting and Reporting:
• Define and track key sales and revenue metrics, such as sales pipeline, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team.
Contract Negotiations:
• Oversee contract negotiations with key clients, ensuring that agreements align with company goals and policies.
• Review and approve major deals.
Sales Forecasting and Planning:
• Develop and manage sales forecasting processes to ensure accurate revenue projections.
• Support inventory and resource allocation based on forecasts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and client success teams to ensure alignment with revenue objectives.
