Position Overview:
OpenTeams is seeking a
Revenue Operations Director to serve as the operational and technical backbone of our marketing and sales functions. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless integration of tools and systems, driving data-informed decisions, and enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our revenue-generating teams. As the sole member of this department, you will play a critical hands-on role in building and optimizing our processes, reporting frameworks, and operational systems. As the company grows, this position is expected to evolve into a leadership role managing a team.
Responsibilities
Systems Integration and Optimization:
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain a robust stack of marketing, sales, and revenue operations tools (e.g., Pipedrive, Insightly, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and productivity platforms).
- Build integrations between tools to ensure seamless data flow across systems (CRM, marketing automation, sales enablement, and reporting platforms).
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales and marketing workflows and recommend process improvements to optimize performance and provide insights.
Data and Reporting:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards for sales, marketing, customer success, and revenue metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Track KPIs such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue growth.
- Regularly audit data quality across systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Revenue Process Optimization:
- Design and refine scalable processes for lead management, opportunity tracking, revenue earning, NPS, and customer success handoffs.
- Establish workflows and automations to minimize manual tasks for the customer success, marketing and sales teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to design an optimized customer journey that aligns with the company's goals.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Ensure tools and processes are designed with user adoption and productivity in mind.
Scalability and Growth:
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and scalability as the company grows.
- Lay the foundation for a future Revenue Operations team by documenting processes and building scalable systems.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Preferred Background and Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations role, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proven experience managing and integrating systems like CRMs (e.g., Pipedrive, Insightly, HubSpot, Salesforce), marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Anaconda, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and automation tools like Open API, Zapier or Workato.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages is a plus.
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and process design skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Familiarity with open-source business models or SaaS companies.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales and marketing teams.
