OVERVIEW
This role will be to oversee the strategic and operational activities that drive sales effectiveness and efficiency for the region. He/She will support the sales team with data-driven insights, streamlines processes, and ensures the alignment of sales activities with business goals. The position requires a proactive, analytical, and customer-focused professional with extensive experience in logistics and regional markets.
Key ROLES AND Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Create and monitor regional sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.
2. Sales Operations Management
- Manage the sales pipeline and optimize processes to ensure accurate and timely deal progression.
- Implement and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track sales activities and opportunities.
- Develop and standardize sales processes and best practices across the region.
3. Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Generate and analyze sales performance reports, providing actionable insights to sales leadership.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Present monthly and quarterly business reviews to senior management.
4. Team Support and Development
- Provide training and development to the regional sales team on tools, systems, and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between sales and other departments (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members.
5. Regional Focus and Stakeholder Engagement
- Ensure sales strategies and solutions meet the specific needs of regional markets within Asia.
- Build a strong understanding of key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support stakeholder meetings and negotiations, as needed.
6. Process Improvement and Innovation
- Identify inefficiencies in the sales process and implement improvements.
- Introduce technology and automation to enhance sales productivity and customer experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to recommend new solutions.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Mimimum 7 years in sales operations, logistics, or freight forwarding, with at least 3 years in a regional or managerial role.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance and process improvements.
- Experience working in diverse, multi-country environments in Asia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain operations.
