Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer - Controller to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. Duties
- Lead comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards).
- Manage risk analysis and implement robust internal controls aligned with frameworks such as COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Supervise treasury management activities including cash flow optimization, banking relationships, and liquidity planning to support operational needs.
- Drive revenue management strategies by analyzing market trends, revenue cycle processes, and cost control measures to maximize profit margins.
- Oversee audit processes, regulatory reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for nonprofit or other specialized sectors.
- Lead negotiations for mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and business development opportunities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial concepts and analysis skills.
- Supervise finance teams responsible for payroll management, expense control, cost management, and technical accounting functions such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and cost accounting practices.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports that interpret complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership; communicate financial concepts clearly across departments.
- Promote a proactive risk management environment by analyzing market conditions and implementing strategies to mitigate potential financial threats.
Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience in financial management roles within complex organizations; prior experience as a CFO or Controller is highly preferred.
- Extensive background in corporate finance, governmental or nonprofit accounting environments with strong familiarity in public accounting practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance, risk analysis, regulatory reporting, and internal controls frameworks such as COSO.
- Strong knowledge of financial software systems including ERP platforms; proficiency in financial modeling tools is advantageous.
- Experience managing large teams responsible for accounting, payroll management, supply chain finance, and cost control initiatives.
- Skilled in negotiation, business development strategies, and market analysis to support organizational growth objectives.
- Deep understanding of international standards such as IFRS and IAS alongside U.S. GAAP principles; ability to interpret complex financial reports effectively.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on forecasting accuracy, fiscal management, expense oversight, and cost management strategies.
