Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations in Raleigh, NC. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to promote growth and stability.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition.
- Lead risk analysis initiatives, ensuring robust risk management practices across financial operations and compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, investment strategies, and liquidity management to optimize fiscal health.
- Drive revenue management efforts through market analysis, business development initiatives, and revenue cycle management strategies.
- Supervise budgeting processes, expense control, cost management, and cost accounting activities to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee regulatory reporting obligations for governmental agencies and ensure adherence to COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) internal control frameworks.
- Lead mergers & acquisitions activities by evaluating potential opportunities, conducting due diligence, and integrating new entities seamlessly into the organization’s financial structure.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing advanced financial software solutions and enhancing financial report writing and interpretation capabilities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives, providing insights through detailed financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making.
Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience as a CFO or equivalent executive role within a complex organization, preferably in non-profit or governmental sectors.
- Extensive background in corporate finance, including profit & loss management, revenue cycle management, and fiscal oversight.
- Strong expertise in financial accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, and COSO frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in managing SOX compliance programs along with risk analysis and risk management practices.
- Experience leading mergers & acquisitions from evaluation through integration phases with measurable results.
- Proficiency in financial software systems coupled with advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with business development acumen to foster strategic partnerships and growth opportunities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly through effective report writing and interpretation for diverse audiences.
- Supervisory experience overseeing teams responsible for accounting functions such as payroll management, governmental accounting, supply chain costs, and technical accounting issues.
