POSITION OVERVIEW
Pathway Ventures Canada is seeking a motivated and energetic Hockey Operations & Business Operations Intern to support the growth of our brands, including Pathway Hockey, Spartan Hockey Academy, and ONE Gear Apparel.
This internship is designed for an individual who is passionate about sports, business, marketing, events, and entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working alongside senior leaders while contributing to hockey operations, event management, sponsorship initiatives, apparel sales, marketing campaigns, and business development projects.
This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience within a rapidly growing sports organization while building valuable leadership, operational, and business skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hockey Operations Support
- Assist with planning and execution of tournaments, showcases, camps, and special events.
- Support player registration and roster management processes.
- Coordinate event logistics, schedules, and participant communications.
- Assist with game-day and tournament operations.
- Support coaches, managers, and hockey operations staff as required.
- Help maintain player, team, and event databases.
Business Operations Support
- Assist with administrative and operational projects across Pathway Ventures Canada.
- Support organizational planning, reporting, and project coordination.
- Help develop and maintain operational processes and procedures.
- Participate in business meetings and strategic planning initiatives.
- Conduct market research and assist with growth opportunities.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in creating social media content and promotional materials.
- Support website updates and content management.
- Help develop email campaigns and marketing communications.
- Assist with photography, video content, and event storytelling.
- Support brand awareness initiatives across all Pathway Ventures properties.
Sponsorship & Community Relations
- Assist with sponsorship outreach and partnership development.
- Help maintain sponsor databases and tracking systems.
- Support sponsor fulfillment before, during, and after events.
- Participate in community engagement initiatives and special projects.
ONE Gear Apparel Support
- Assist with apparel sales campaigns and merchandise promotions.
- Support inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Help coordinate product launches and customer communications.
- Assist with event merchandise sales and activations.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will:
- Be enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Have a passion for sports and youth development.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Be highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, or similar tools.
- Possess strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
