For our client, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a mission-driven environment.
Location: Tampa, FL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to define and execute a strategic financial plan that enhances mission impact
- Identify opportunities for financial system modernization as a thought leader and innovator
- Design and implement financial models that support strategic decision-making and investment priorities
- Foster a continuous improvement culture by utilizing data and best practices for transparency and scalability
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning process in collaboration with various departments
- Monitor financial performance and deliver actionable insights for better decision-making
- Oversee resource allocation and cash flow to ensure sustainability and health of finances
Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in complex or growing organizations
- Proven track record of financial transformation, including systems implementation and process enhancement
- Experience with blended revenue models and diverse funding streams preferred
- Solid grasp of how data and technology can improve financial decisions
