About Cold Crypt
Cold Crypt is building what we believe is the future of digital asset security.
We are developing a U.S.-made, military-grade hybrid cryptocurrency wallet that seamlessly operates in both hot and true cold-storage modes while incorporating AI-powered security and transaction analysis.
Our MVP is currently under development, trademarks have been filed, and we are actively raising capital while preparing for institutional investment.
We're looking for a Founding CFO who wants to help build something extraordinary.
About the Role
This is not a traditional CFO position.
We're looking for an experienced finance executive who understands both traditional venture finance and the crypto ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has experience working with venture capital and private equity firms, understands tokenomics at a deep level, and can help position the company for institutional investment and long-term growth.
You will become a key member of our executive leadership team and play a major role in fundraising, financial strategy, investor relations, and token economics.
Responsibilities
- Lead all corporate financial strategy
- Review investor-ready financial models
- Prepare the company for institutional due diligence
- Help manage relationships with VC and Private Equity firms
- Assist in raising capital and closing investors
- Design and oversee tokenomics and token supply strategy
- Develop treasury management strategy
- Work with legal counsel regarding securities and token compliance
- Build financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting systems
- Participate in executive leadership and strategic planning
Required Qualifications
- Previous CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leadership experience
- Experience working with venture capital and/or private equity funding
- Strong understanding of startup finance
- Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency markets
- Demonstrated experience designing or managing tokenomics
- Understanding of token supply models, vesting schedules, emissions, treasury allocation, staking, and incentive structures
- Experience preparing companies for Series A fundraising
- Excellent communication and investor presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Web3 startups
- Experience launching or advising crypto projects
- Knowledge of SEC regulations surrounding digital assets
- Experience with SAFEs, convertible notes, and equity financing
- Experience working with institutional investors
Compensation
This is a Founding Executive position.
Compensation during the pre-Series A phase consists primarily of meaningful founder equity and executive stock ownership. Candidates should be financially able to commit to an equity-first compensation structure while helping build the company through its initial fundraising phase.
Upon the successful close of the Series A financing, this position transitions to a competitive executive compensation package, including:
- Market-rate executive salary
- Continued equity participation
- Performance-based incentives
- Full executive benefits (as applicable)
