Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly strategic and operations-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial organization. As the CFO, you will serve as a core business partner to the CEO, managing everything from shop-floor cost accounting to high-level capital allocation. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in the manufacturing sector, bringing a sophisticated understanding of plant economics, inventory valuation, and supply chain logistics. Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Capital Allocation
- Executive Partnership: Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on financial impact, corporate strategy, and commercial risks.
- Capital Expenditures (CapEx): Evaluate ROI on heavy equipment, production line investments, automation technologies, and physical plant expansions.
- Growth and M&A: Assess financial viability for geographic expansion, product vertical development, and merger/acquisition targets.
- Treasury and Capital Structure: Manage the company's debt profile, banking relationships, and credit facilities to minimize interest burdens.
2. Operations & Cost Accounting
- Standard Costing & Margin Analysis: Oversee the standard costing system, analyzing variances (labour, material, overhead) to optimize gross margins.
- Inventory Control & Working Capital: Implement robust controls over raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Monitor and resolve inventory ageing to unlock trapped capital.
- Plant-Level Performance: Partner with Plant Managers to establish operational KPIs, analyze unit economics, and drive efficiency across production lines.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Assess the financial stability of vendors and model the impact of fluctuating commodity prices on product pricing.
3. FP&A, Accounting, & Controls
- Financial Modeling: Direct all budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and multi-year financial planning models.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts according to GAAP/IFRS rules.
- Internal Audit & Compliance: Maintain strict internal controls across physical assets and digital Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
- Tax Optimization: Lead international and domestic tax planning strategies, maximizing R&D tax credits and manufacturing incentives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required. MBA or Master’s degree in Business/Finance is highly preferred.
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10–25 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years serving in a senior executive role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with manufacturing ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Expertise in advanced cost-accounting frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to manage multi-location finance teams; exceptional communication skills for delivering financial updates to non-financial plant staff and board-level investors.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)A successful candidate will directly impact the following metrics:
- Gross Profit Margin stability and expansion.
- Reduction in Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO).
- CapEx project ROI matching or exceeding initial forecasts.
- Accuracy and reduction of standard-to-actual cost variances
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹4,500,000.00 per year
